  Hi Sascha,
I have the Native Instruments B4 not battery, so I'm not sure if it's the same. I can't say that the B4 is annoying with it's authorization. It really doesn't get in the way. It doesn't ask very often. Hardly at all. I just get paranoid about c.d.'s. Everytime I pull out the c.d. I envision this major catastrophy where I get a big scratch and I have to call and try to have it replaced and worry if it will get here in time for when I need it. Would they even replece it? They should right? As long as you send back the original with your serial number? I would also feel better if they gave you some info on this in their read-me...Like incase of damage conatact.....upon recieving the old disk a new one will be furnished free of charge (except for shipping). Maybe I'm making a mountain out of an ant hill. I mean if you buy a Telecaster or Les Paul it's not like you can make a back-up of them:-) Maybe because we have computers and "can" make copies we see this as more important. Atleat on the Logic side they'll be getting rid of c.d. authorization. I think the way they are going to incorporate it into the new USB dongle is great:-))
