I did fine with my Bronze PowerBook G3 400. It easily handled more than what you are describing. Perhaps you should seriously consider rebuilding your hard drive from the ground up. Backup, Zero All Data, Reinstall OS, Install Essential Music Apps (Logic), run Norton or Techtool from the CD, test Logic, backup HD at this point, add all other items you use, test, revert to previous build if necessary. Watch for extension conflicts when adding additional apps, watch for processes running in the background that might interrupt Logic's process. Get peek-a-boo, or something similar to view hidden processes (you can find these on http://download.cnet.com (or downloads--I forget) and search utilities. As a preliminary test, you can turn off all non-essential extensions, but I don't think this would prove much. Good luck...
