I never owned a RAM based hardware sampler in my life. I always did my effects in ROM bases sample synths. Using Explorer32 in the early 90-ties, I programmed all effects I needed at the time (as far as lions and camera drives) for scoring video's. Soft samplers like EXS opened the world of keyboard controlled RAM sampling to me. I was surprised to read that many samplers can't use more than 128MB. Never had that problem... Now I understand why film composers need a rack with 32 Rolands and they never turn them off once the libraries are loaded :-). Jer wrote: > >That is not the only thing.
