Re: [exs] suggested sample cd for orchesteral sounds?

2002-01-23 by Eppo Schaap

I owe Advanced Orchestra Compact Edition (Akai > converted to ESX24) and I
like it a lot. I bough it to be able to use better orchestra sounds than I
can find in my samplingsynths and for this purpose it's very good IMO.

It has:
Strings (also tremolo, staccato and con legno - sounds you don't find in
most synths in sufficient quality)
Brass (universal but a very 'deep' sound)
Woodwinds (universal but OK)
Solo violin
Solo Cello
Solo French Horn
Solo Trombone
Orchestral Percussion (Good!)
and a small outline of the orchestral stylistics (C major and A minor)

I certainly *don't* think it's a ripoff. It's good value for money (compared
to the 'big' libraries).
