Why do you use this method versus using > your e-mail client's internal search capability? Because I don't save it in my email client software format (I use Netscape Communicator). I save them as either text clippings or Simpletext documents. I've used different email programs over the years and this way seems to be safest for future retrieval (IMO) > I am an experienced Mac > user and disabled indexing immediately upon setting up my system. I am too and also did the same. But now that I've tried it, it doesn't seem to cost any system performance. I figure I'll update the indexing manually when I feel like it, rather than schedule it for automatic updates. This way I can keep the scheduler extension disabled. -- Eli Krantzberg Nightshift Orchestra / Almat Productions http://www.nightshiftorchestra.com
