We are using all originally created sounds from these instruments of course. There are no copyright/licensing issues since we are only using our own work, not any work created by anyone else. In the case of the Roland instruments, it's a unique situation...we can also use some of the factory sounds since I created them and own the copyrights. (But the focus of what we are doing is really on brand NEW sounds). In the marketing of the instruments, we don't make a big deal about sampling all these classic instruments, to avoid trademark infringement issues. (which is different than copyright...trademark protects your company and product names). If you've followed any of our CD-ROM library developments in the past, you'll see that we frequently use a massive array of every kind of gear to make our products....that's what gives them such depth. This may be interesting for you to read about our methods: http://www.spectrasonics.net/interviews/ericpersing.html All the best, EP
