Again you have taught me new stuff and thanx once again. What a huge 
and informative post indeed. I am going to test the files you kindly 
provided when at home in front of Logic.

Still, after reading your post I feel pretty sure that the method I 
described for "batch loading" samples from a multisample is faster 
than your manual method. So I am going to stick with that for now. 
What has really made my method work great is the tip you provided to 
move one or several keyzones with a key command. That way I get all 
the samples spread over the keyboard in the correct order using "my" 
import method and then move them to their final resting places 
using "your" key command. That's not so bad, actually.
