Go to the audio configuration page and go to one of the pull down menu's
(can't remember which one) - Then remove plug in's.

As the instruments are plug ins they will disappear.

Unfortunately so will all of the other plug ins...

Maybe there needs to be a "remove all instruments"  setting.
