Open the EXS, choose edit and go into the edit menu. Open Preferences and choose "Search samples on: External Volumes" Have you done that? Does it help? Is there any way to fix this globally? So far it seems the only way to fix it is to choose each and every zone and manually rechoose the audio files. Here is what happened: I have installed an external firewire drive and copied all of my samples to that drive. After the fact, I discoverred that the EXS24 software didn't want me to do that, it wanted me to open every exs instrument and chose MOVE AUDIOFILES from the INSTRUMENT menu. I assumed that the software would operate the way the AUDIO WINDOW in Logic works: if it doesn't find a file, it comes up with a dialogue box saying it found the file somewhere and do I want to choose that file. However, in EXS24, there does not seem to be such a utility to simply ask the software to search all attached drives for the audio files you need. I have tried copying aliases of the folders I need to the place where the files used to work, but that has not worked for me. So I reinstalled the Factory presets, figuring that they would be put in the right place by the installer. And my plan was that once I had confirmed that they were working properly, I would delete the files I had copied over to the external drive way back in part 1. Ha! I chose the external drive during the install procedure, but it does not matter which exs24 factory instrument I choose, it cannot locate the correct files and always reports the audio file connected to zone #1 as 'not found.' I have spent five hours trying to figure this one out now, and I am stumped. HELP!!! John Yahoo!
