If I recall correctly Markus said it was incredibly easy to use a wrapper
around a VST plug to make it into an AudioUnit... So I wouldn't be too
worried about this. Yep, here's the original post:

They don't have to! It is easy (I dare to use the word "trivial", but it
comes in my mind) to wrap VST into an AudioUnit, because the AudioUnit is
sort of superset to VST (you can do more with less work). So: have a wrapper
source, add it to you project, recompile and you are a clean Mac OS X
citizen!

That is correct :-(

TDM, DAE, DirectIO, ProTools (hardware and software) etc. won't run under
Mac OS X at all until DigiDesign releases new drivers and software updates.
There is nothing _we_ can do to make this happen.
