Drag and drop does not seem to work Drag-n-drop has been very effective on the Windows version, since it creates an easier interface, since it's a two-way type of paradigm. We read AND write to proprietary disks, so the ease of use of dragging (selecting what you what to translate) and dropping (selecting WHERE you want to put it) is very easy. We've skipped that so far in Translator Mac, but as soon as the proprietary conversions come on like this will be implemented. On the interface, we actually put the instruction "Double-click on an object to translate..." visible at all times. >and I can't get multiple selections to work so I either have to do a whole >disc (which crashes) We are pretty maniac about letting people know they can contact us, even toll-free if you are in the States. We e-mail back within 24 hours, etc. etc. Contact us - we can solve your issue. >or click on one patch at a time, which takes FOREVER. I am willing to admit >user error The program, under testing, has been very stable here. We have over 100-200 CD's that we use for testing. It's impossible to try them all, but what we do is at all times when we are working in the office, there are test computers that simply are converting CD's in bulk. We do this so we know if an error comes up. We are at a point where about 150 of the CD's have been verified twice, and the other ones once. We do this regressively often, so we always are checking. What the person said above about memory is accurate. We don't usually see people translating while running multi-session's with 256 tracks going in Logic, nor do we see people that run EXS having only 32mb of memory inside their machine, so memory is not really a concern - simply give it the overhead it may need. Update to the latest version which is better at running leaner. We are going to implement multiple selections and drag and drop, of course. See other posts for more info. Garth Hjelte Sampler User
