I know there were other answers to your question, but I think you did one part of the equation but not the other. Apple (amazingly) does not read Joliet format natively; you need an extension. Go to www.tempel.org for a free one - he also sells a shareware one. Once you get the extension, the file names will correct themselves and when you copy them to the hard drive, the names should be intact and EXS will load them happily. (Of course, it'll have to find them the first time, but after that you'll be happy.) Garth Hjelte Sampler User
