I believe EXS24 only works within Logic.

HaLion is way cool...I'm using it along side the EXS in Logic...and
without
too much pain. The main advantage to HaLion is the access to Giga
libraries...and until the EXS is mulitembral the difference in an actual
Giga instrument and an EXS conversion is the difference in something
wonderful and something not at all wonderful...I've used Akai versions
of
Giga Libraries...then used the Giga Version...Gigasampler has some
features
that make it's big fat beautiful sampled instruments very easy to
use...Halion can do much of the same...not all. By the way...can you
use
your EXS in Cubase...VST compatible and all?

Julie

How does HALion compare to the EXS24 ?

Regardless, ?190 upgrade is excellent value - and you can keep your
Logic
stuff too anyway, so you'd be mad not to take up this offer if you're a
PC
user, and gently take yourself over to the Dark Side.

unless Emagic change their stance, I'll be off come September.

Steinberg also state they are absolutely committed to supporting both
platforms - while this is no guarantee, but I think that if they do,
you'll
see them as a clear winner within 2 years.

I Wonder if they will do a cross grade to HALion from EXS24 also. I have
just emailed the UK distributor to ask if this is also an option.
