Maybe he means that he can't install the factory sounds -- which 
indeed is a problem with the v5 installer.
Some claim that renaming the "Logic Platinum..." folder to "Logic 
Audio Platinum..." helps (i.e. just insert the word "Audio" in the 
foldername), but it didn't in my case.  If you still have a v4 
install around (regardless of the v4 dongle) you can install the 
instruments in thev4 folder and drag them over to the v5 folder.  If 
all doesn't work, mail me privately and I'll send you the .exs files 
-- the samples you can simply hand-copy off the CD.
