When anything goes wrong that I cant explain I try ;
 - Rebuilding the desktop
 - Zapping the PRAM
 - Nuking any app preferences (backing up forst of course)
 - Renaming the autoload and starting again with a vanilla track.

Worth a shot... Basically clean up as much as possible, but backing up as
far as possible...
