Hi Sascha --- In exs-users@y..., "Sascha Franck" <saschafranck@s...> wrote: > And Soren, I allready subscribed to the LAW-to-SX group, but I doub't I'll > post too much there yet. Bugger for the group but I understand your position :o). This post of yours would actually be very appropriate in the LAW-to-SX group. You seem to have made your mind up pretty much for the short to medium term, and you have hands-on SX experience. I can't say the same for myself yet :o(. > must say I was less than impressed. Hey, me too :o) plus the fact that Logic is better for collaborating with the real pros which I do from time to time. > Sure, there's been some vast improvements, > but I still can't understand why quite some things are still that ugly and > hart to handle, especially when it comes to part handling in the arrange and > tool handling - I still remember how much I hated that > "rightclick-to-select-a-new-tool" actions that you have to do all the time > in Cubase. Still, I am sure that whatever talent I have (small as it may be), I would be able to make music as good as I am capable of on any of the major sequencer platforms. > Don't get me wrong, there's some nice things in SX, such as the MIDI plugins > that you can even use when the sequencer is stopped (and that are actually > working well with AIs, unlike in Logic), I quite liked the arpeggiator - but > then, I'm more an oldfashioned guy, so I don't need such things too much. > In the end, for me the most important thing seem to be ergonomics and IMO > Logic is unbeatable at that for various reasons. > I will get my VST updated anyways to have a closer look at what they are > doing in the future. Being updated on both Logic and Cubase is a luxury that I am sorry I can't afford. That would be nice, though. > And uhhhhm - of course I won't like to miss all my nice Logic internal > plugins and instruments, IMO both EVOC and ES2 are just two of the best in > their categories. Even without EVOC and ES2 I feel the same way. The full EXS24, the chorus, the compressors etc. Having to live without those REALLY hurt [he wrote, banging his head against the wall]. Kind regards, Soren
