i thought i give a little update here:

the exs has been "scanning" all weekend thru on a 15 second cycle loading
"next instrument" ... and is still ongoing. (about half way thru)

since the weekend is over and i gotta work with it i had to interrupt. and
yes! thoese instruments already scanned load much faster ... hurray ! as
long as dont touch the folders !!!

so there will be a "rescann-exs-samples" feature in 5.2 ?
