I'm *slowly* collating it into a FAQ on my web pages although theres a fair way to go yet. For general environment goodness, many people reccommend Len Sasso's book which is v.cheap and online purchasable via www.swiftkick.com He also has the #1 collection of interesting environment objects on the same site. Dig around and see what you find that's cool. When you find something good, poke it and see how it works! There's literally an amazing collection of environments. Also for a fun read, check out the recent thread on the LUG about squarepusher type drum programming with some interesting posts from Sam Watson & Sam Greene about how to achieve this in the environment, and IIRC a sample environment.
