It's been there long before that! From the 4.5.1 read-me: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Logic Audio Platinum/Gold/Silver 4.5.1 * Multi Processor Support: The internal, native audio engine is now able to take advantage of the new dual-processor Apple Macs. (Mac AV, Audiowerk, 1212I/O, DirectI/O, ASIO, StudI/O, EASI). - Enable the Multi Processor Support check-box within the audio driver preferences. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - As I recall, one processor handles audio and the other handles the rest (screen redraws, MIDI, etc). I've been using MP support for ages now. The only problem is Absynth which doesn't like MP, and this will be fixed in Absynth v1.3 I believe.
