How so? The increase in FSB speed of 25% is surely less of a boost to memory performance than the 100% increase in bandwidth at a given bus speed when you move from SDRAM to DDR SDRAM. This improvement in memory spec should boost plugin instances considerably -- eg number of compressors/ Plat verbs /VST synths you can run. G4s have been hobbled until now by two years out of date memory bandwidth. The Intel 845 chipsets which were released last year for the low end P4/Celeron absolutely sucked compared to the 845 DDR chipsets that replaced them soon after. The bus speed on both versions of i845 was the same just 266 MHz DDR instead of PC133 SDRAM. Regards, Murray
