I have a bunch of Akai >S6000 progs to convert (exs24) and Translator mac is not yet perfectly ready >to do that , i don't want to another 140$ to get Cdextract, and i am in a >hurry... :-( The S-5000->EXS translations have been available on the PC for a long time, that's how they were done. There was a somewhat of a disadvantage in that the translation only did the .akp file to an .exs file, basically. That means .wav files would be used with the .exs file, which isn't the optimum situation for Mac people. It is an advantage, though, that the .exs file can use the same .wav files as the S-5000 - that way the .exs files could simply be posted. The new build of Translator Mac is up; we put it up last night. I'll post a release later today. It does S-5000->EXS singly and in bulk, and translates the .wav files of the S-5000 to .aif files, if you want. I just tried one of the sets off the Akai FTP site; works great. I've been in contact with Raphael and am sending him a new version as well. (The version on the site has a bug we just picked up dealing with volumes other than the boot one, that will be corrected along with some other translations by tonight.) Garth Hjelte Sampler User
