what is fiddle in comparison to violin? same or other playing technique or other instrument all together? Fiddling is a different playing style on a traditional violin. Bluegrass, country, Irish jigs use fiddling. BTW, classical violinists refer to their 300-year-old $250,000 Italian instruments as fiddles too, when they want to sound hip and not at all stodgy :-) -smeet [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
