I got CD Xtract, which only "SEES" s5000/6000 files. But the files I got aren't 5000/6000, they are s1000/3000 format. No way I seem to be able to make them into Giga files, even using cdxtract. Since I got them from Cone's site, he has EXS24 files for the programs there, and I converted (using cdxtract) _these_ to gig format- I'll try later and let you guys know how it went! thanks anyway Ruben --- In exs-users@y..., "Bernard Chavonnet" <exs@c...> wrote: > > I use a Mac (dual800 1gig ram, macos 9.22) with LAMP 4.81 and EXS24, and I > > gotta go to another studio that uses a PC with Giga, and need to take some > > instruments to use there. > > I got some in akai format I downloaded from the web, (from Cone's AKAI > > links), from those original AKAI SOUND LIBRARIES, but Giga seems to only > be > > able to see (and convert) from an AKAI format CD, not from a regular PC > CD. > > So, how can I burn the files I have, into an AKAI formatted CD, from my > Mac > > (I got Toast Titanium)? > > You are probably talking about S5000/6000 files, Giga can only read > S1000/3000 CD-Roms, You can convert these Akai files to the Giga > format using CDXtract on your Mac or on your PC. > > Bernard
