EXS 24 Logic Sampler Users Group

Hi,

I would like your opinions on Chickensys Translator, especially when 
it comes to translating from AKAI S5000/6000 samples to EXS-samples.

I downloaded the Hollowsound samples recently and did some 
conversions (right clicking->using Convert as->then choosing the EXS-
format). I did this converion on a friend's PC (I use Mac myself).

I wasn't very pleased with the results. Some converted EXS-files even 
managed to crash Logic (4.8.1). 

Is it normal that you have to do lots of tweaking before your EXS-
files become usable, after conversion through a translation program?

I'm willing to buy a translator program myself, but if results are 
this poor it's easier for me to built EXS-files manually.

BTW the Hollowsound samples are very nice, especially the Clavinet 
and the Mellotron samples.
