Hy,
I think EXS and Kontakt are very complementary (I hope such a word
exist ;o) ) and I am enjoying to have both...

Kontakt is very good to expand your creativity with samples, to let
you try things it would be a pain in the ass to do with EXS.

One example:
A great thing about Kontakt is its ability to make quick program for
just one song.
For instance, you are on a song and you think that you should add a
weird sax effect (why not? ;o) )
You open an instance of kontakt, you listen to some sax samples, you
drag'n'drop 3 samples in the mapping editor, in one mouse movement,
you just create a program with 3 samples on three zone of your choice
(the mapping editor is such great in kontakt, I wish the exs had the
same).
You could tweak the sound with the effect of kontakt, etc.
But one of the most great thing is that you do not have to save your
program, you leave it in your song, you save your song, and when you
will load your song another time... bingo, all is here!!
It is perfect for experimentation...
