It was an interview so it wasn't a matter of the SOS people testing it. It was just what the interviewee said. That said I have owned the EXS24 since it was released and never had a single tuning problem. The only possible explanation is if they have errant MIDI messages flying around when they happen to have an Audio Inst. (with EXS) selected. Sometimes my Z1 will send something that cranks a band of the Fat EQ gain up to +18dB.
