Switching on sample streaming involves a noticeable increase in CPU load -- especially if you normally use 32 bit mode for storing the samples in RAM. There is a CPU load in converting files to 32 bit float and that conversion is happening on every voice scrolling from the hard-drive. Of course it is also a significant load on the the hard-drive and if the drive is the same one you have your audio tracks on then you will be able to manage a lot fewer tracks. Separate drives and a fast CPU/memory system are what is needed to really exploit this feature. It is great to have it as an option though especially if you want to work with the big GigaSampler sets. It would be nice if you could set the option for each tune. Regards, Murray
