Actually, no, you stated the point in your question. If you have a dedicated
drive, then let it do the work of streaming. That's the ideal situation. I
switched it off because it affected my boot drive (samples are stored on the
same drive currently). So if you have a dedicated drive, by all means
install/activate the feature. -Jer

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
