Two other ideas that also work- take a patch like this, and double it with a good piano patch and adjust the volumes between the two to get the desired "age". I've also taken a good piano sample in an Akai sampler, used the scale tuning page to detune some of the notes, dulled the eq at the mixer, and blended this with an in-tune piano. Each of these does a good job of getting away from that bright, fake honky-tonk sound. Kurt Heinecke
