Namelengths for OS9 should be about 30 or less characters (including the .wav or dot .exs designation). Other than that, we can use them no problem. OSX doesn't have the length limitation, but most Mac users are still on OS9. If macs have any trouble reading PC EXS24 files, the utility (second file) at <http://musicbootcamp.com/exs24.shtml> can help. It's a drag and drop utility that redesignates type and creator codes. -Jer > From: "Thomas Hansen Skarbye" <thomas@...> > Reply-To: exs-users@yahoogroups.com > Date: Sun, 10 Nov 2002 17:59:20 -0000 > To: exs-users@yahoogroups.com > Subject: [exs] Can Mac read PC EXS24 files? > > Hi, > > Can Mac read PC EXS24 files directly - perfect? > I'm curious because I will release some sample libraries in EXS24 but > have heard that if I burn the Master CD on PC and Mac read it, a C#3 > will become C_3 and the keymapping go nuts... > > Can anyone help me on this? > > Any precautions I can take?
