Hi, Can Mac read PC EXS24 files directly - perfect? I'm curious because I will release some sample libraries in EXS24 but have heard that if I burn the Master CD on PC and Mac read it, a C#3 will become C_3 and the keymapping go nuts... Can anyone help me on this? Any precautions I can take? What about lenght of names etc? Regards Thomas Hansen Skarbye Sample Library Developer www.scarbee.om

Namelengths for OS9 should be about 30 or less characters (including the .wav or dot .exs designation). Other than that, we can use them no problem. OSX doesn't have the length limitation, but most Mac users are still on OS9. If macs have any trouble reading PC EXS24 files, the utility (second file) at <http://musicbootcamp.com/exs24.shtml> can help. It's a drag and drop utility that redesignates type and creator codes. -Jer

I am requesting that anyone who sponsors any free downloads of EXS24 instruments to check out http://musicbootcamp.com/audio_sample_library.shtml If you don't see a link to your site there, please let me know and I'll add it. I'd like as complete a list as possible. I've done my best to include all members who have announced available downloads, but I may have missed a few. Thanks, Jer

What about extracting .rar files on Mac? Is it true that winrar 3.0 files can not be unrared on older Mac OS?
