The problem is, there seems to be a fundamental difference in the file formats between rar versions 2.x and 3.x. Even on PCs you won't be able to open most rar3.x files with WinRar 2.x. So, most likely Stuffit is only compatible to rar3.x... maybe you should try MacRar or something else. Btw, is there a rar version for Macs allowing to compress files? For whatever it's worth in times of cheap CDs, HDDs and fast internet connections, WinRar still does a great job on lossless file compression (up to 60% compression on some audiofiles, even more on docs, BMPs and whatever), allows for creating selfextracting archives and so on. Simply brilliant. I even found myself compressing a few song folders in case they wouldn't fit on one CD. If I'd ever switch to a Mac, this would be one of the tools I'd miss a lot. Regards, Sascha .
