Quite right. I never would have thought to look under "options" for such a
function, a bit of a strange place to put it, imho.

Certainly not very hard to find, though, if one spends more than a minute at
it...

Click the "Options" pulldown. "Save settings to instrument".

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
