I've gotten most of my (often excellent) house kicks via the sites that are listed on my free sample download page http://musicbootcamp.com/audio_sample_library.shtml Granted, you will have to spend considerable time downloading and sorting, but a strong effort will yield excellent results. I agree with you. Good, heavy, pounding kick drums are among the rarest on the planet. Even vendors who say they've got good kicks often fall far short of what is required on today's premier dance floors. If you find any other resources, please let me know.
