I have the same issue with the first bar / beat one, also. I never thought it worth mentioning. But it's interesting that you experience that also. I've also noticed some audible clicking (or similar sound) the first time automation for a specific track is initially engaged. I bypassed this problem by setting up the initial instruction for each specific automation track, within the first bar, before the music starts. Having said that, I have never had a note drop out. Your system should have no problems of that nature. It's faster than my quickly-aging Mac. Perhaps it has something to do with the I/O care. I haven't thought far enough about this, so perhaps I'm jumping to conclusions. But, for lack of other ideas, I'm leaning toward your ASIO drivers.
