Based on what you just mentioned, I'm convinced it's the I/O. I know this is not what you want to hear, but people with PIIIs and Logic have had enormous success with the Hammerfall I/O. Actually the PIII/1GHz/Hammerfall combination is probably the best, bar none. It's also top rated for Macs too. Evidence for this is supported by the testimony of EXS-Users list members and from reliable friends I have who sell the various cards. I really think its a compatibility issue with your card, but it may be purely related to driver conflicts or other software issues. This theory is reinforced by your problem with ASIO. Your current card may work, but you may have to rebuild your whole system to find out if the card is worth keeping. One thing I'm fairly certain of, however, is that your problem is related to the driver and not the EXS. Q: Do other VST instruments work efficiently?
