Just res-hacking or renaming some .sf to .sf2 usually won't result in big pleasure... Anyways, SF (now, just look how they ripped of my initials... I should sue them, Sonic Foundry and some town in california) was the pre-SF2 format, often making use of some RAM samples which you could find on oldskool SBlaster cards. As these samples can't be included the file transistions sometimes won't work at all. Also, most likely I wouldn't even bother with .sf at all. Over the past I have been downloading tons of them, just to find out that I never even used a single one. And no, I ain't Mr. Golden Ears - those sounds were just too lousy though. Regards, Sascha
