I was just curious...

I have seen synclaviers on ebay now and then (there's part of one now, on 
there, actually at  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=

I think they still make them and they are high-dollar machines. One of the 
guys from ABBA just bought one that can record audio or 7 straight days. But 
with technology as it is nowadays, how can Synclaviers be much better than 
Logic, Reason, Cubase, Cakewalk, etc?

I would love to have one if I could find one cheap enough just to be able to 
tinker with it a little. They had one where I went to school years ago and it was 
just magnificent.
