Yet another twist in this copyright discussion :-)

I _think_ for all non-sample based softsynths the samples are yours.

For sample based softsynths (and hardsynths likewise) it probably
depends on wether those sampled samples are "different enough"
(whatever that means) to not be the original stuff.

In that context sampling of simple sampleplayback probably would
count as resampling and IMO should be forbidden. It certainly is
highly questionable from a morale point of view.
