Well, specifically I mean plugin samplers that can be hosted in Logic. Halion will probably never be ported to Logic in OSX. Unity is not a competitor in my book (no offense to you). But the Akai one, if I recall correctly, sounded really interesting. "Embedded" players are great, but I wouldn't compare them to open sample formats. In other words, at no time would one of these keep me from investing in a sampler where I can build my own libraries.
