Hi, I had a similar problem switching from ASIO.  Try loading the song by
double clicking it - Logic asks if you want to convert the song to DAE (this
can be hit n miss for me, perhaps someone knows a way so logic does this
everytime?...).  This gets your pans and plugins (if compatible).  On the
playing stereo files front this works for me although the prob sounds a tad
different.  Load up the song. Double click audio file.  Select "Save
selection As..." from the file menu.  Resave as a split stereo file and
import in place of the original file.
