The EXS24 can only load one program per instance. The sounds in this
program can be routed to multiple outputs (for instance if you load a
drum program you could have the kick going to one channel, the snare to
another etc.). You cannot load many programs and have these triggered by
different MIDI channels. Hence the EXS24 is multichannel, but not
multitimbral.
