Geez, Chris. Listen: YOU CAN'T DO THIS. To do what you want, you need to use 2 EXS24s. That's the only way. There are NO MIDI channels to speak of. The multi out refers to AUDIO not MIDI. NO MIDI. NO MIDI. NO MIDI. Think of the EXS24 as an outboard piece of gear with only ONE midi channel, if you must. Only you have a bunch of these single-channel instruments. -Jer > Hee hee, i'm still confused, sorry, i'm showing my clueless side here, ok > let me ask you this if i can figure out how to assign the kick to midi > channel one and the snare to midi channnel 2 ( which i can't figure right > now so if you have the time ; ) ) can i then somehow put different effects > on each part? say reverb on the snare and compression only on the kick? or > am i totally way off here, and if so , can anyone give me an example of how > this multichannelness would be useful. > cheers chris
