Years ago I wrote a librarian for my M1 which had the exact same function: click on a patch and it would be sent to the M1 and a note would play. The patch would not be stored (written) however, so that you could audition all your patches from the computer (or from the M1 directly) without destroying internal memory. One more click and you were back to the original internal setup. Very helpful when you have hundreds or thousands of patches. I agree that the EXS could do with a makeover in this respect. Click-hold on a menu, navigating 4 folders deep, picking patch 28, waiting till it's loaded, playing, deciding this is not it, going back to the menu again and trying patch 43... etc. Well, we've all been there, so who am I writing this to anyway? :-) -- Hendrik Jan Veenstra <h@...> Omega Art: http://www.omega-art.com
