Wow... I'd always imagined that a strummed MIDI guitar playing good guitar samples'd do the trick. But you're saying that there are greater levels of realism to be attained. I'd be very interested in hearing the difference... I've gotten by for years using the JV-1080 guitars and some strumming patterns that I did in Logic (by golly - that "note overlap correction" function's handy!) Even fooled a few guitarists.
