Hi Ned / Julie, In addition to the keyswitching patches, it is not too difficult to get the EXP patches working too. I thought this had been discussed here before, but I could be mistaken. Anyhow, here's the lowdown: EXS doesn't seem to import the velocity ranges for each layer correctly. So just pop into the editor and assign each layer a velocity range (ie; 1-32, 33-64, etc.) Then in the routing matrix, assign sample select to control 1 source instead of velocity. You might want to bypass the usual 'vibrato' assigned to the modwheel, but i'll leave that up to you... :) By now, using the mod wheel should switch between sample layers; you just need to apply some crossfading to smooth the transitions...
