If you have a multi I/O audio interface, try physically plugging some of the outs to the ins. That way in Logic you can assign the output of a bus to an output that corresponds with a live input set to receive from the physical inputs reciving those outs. That way you can assign a heavy reveerb plugin for example to the live inoput. And "send" to the above mentioned bus in order to utilize it.

For example:

Bus 1 is set to output 7-8
patch outputs 7-8 to inputs 7-8
set up a live input with ins 7-8 assigned to it
put a reverb plugin on the live input object
now send to bus 1 from your audio tracks in order to utilize this reverb being used on the second processor.

The I/O plugin causes the track it is assigned to to use the second processor.
