As I understand it right this tool sits in your midi stream and renders a convincing legato play for strings, wind instruments and so forth. It is not just tieing notes together. The tool listens to timing and intervals and decides in realtime which following sample to choose that fits nicely with its predecessor. The EXS instrument needed for that has a hugh set of samples to pick from. They are selected by key switches. Sort of articulations on a note to note basis. Maybe I didn't understand the demo right, but someone will correct me here then. The reason I posted this is the last remark. The tool will be published for MkII and requires logic 5.5. So the guys from VSL see Logic pc platform as a market for their product, months after Emagic pulled the plug on their pc productline. Not that I will buy a top- notch library like VSL very soon, but it gives some confidence in the current Logic/EXS combi on pc. It _is_ alive and powerfull. That's reassuring just after the V6 launch. Herbert Boland www.zepmusic.com
