I suppose you mean that you want to take 2 EXS programs, and create a 
new one where the original 2 are layered, right?  I don't see what 
cdextract would have to do with that...  Just load the 1st program in 
the EXS and open the Instrument Editor.  Load the next program in the 
EXS, and open another Instrument Editor window.  In the 1st editor, 
select all, copy, and in the 2nd editor window paste.  Then 'save as' 
new program name.  Rather straightforward, isn't it?
