If I were you, I would backup everything to CD-R or DVD or a 3rd hard
drive before wiping my original drive.
To verify the copy, I would look at the used space of the copy, to check
that it matches the source drive/folder exactly, at the byte level.

want to copy my 9Gig sample library to another drive and then erase the
source drive. Is there a way to verify the copy as I am Paranoid about

I suppose if I was smart enough I could use retrospect to copy to the
